Job Description
An opportunity has arisen for an Assistant Operation Manager to our client’s team in Wickford. Working as an Assistant Operations Manager, you will be deputising for the Operations Manager where possible by managing the performance and delivery of area-based teams. The candidate will be responsible for a number of operational requirements to ensure the safe, effective and consistent delivery of projects.

Principal Accountabilities
- The AOM will be responsible for general operational responsibilities including undertaking pre-contract site assessment
- Be confident in client facing situations and be capable of resolving operational issues
- To co-ordinate teams according to contract specifications and workload.
- To monitor work progress and performance, taking prompt action when needed and reporting any irregularities
- To liaise and work with Client officers at appropriate level to meet expectations in relation to completed / outstanding /additional work.
- Maintain records of all tasks completed utilising the Acorn Job Management system.
- To communicate effectively and confidently both on a one-to-one basis and in groups.
- Adhere to HR processes and procedures.
- Ensure all HR matters are dealt with accordingly and passed to the Operations Manager if necessary.
- To understand the law relating to Health & Safety and understand and implement the company’s Health & Safety policy ensuring the completion of Accident and near miss reports.
- To understand and implement risk assessments and COSSH.
- Manage according to budgets set by idverde.
- Full UK driving license.
- Wide knowledge of all ground’s maintenance activities.
